Oh dear god. Could that be any more contrived? Why isn’t there an original ImageWriter on the nightstand?
arb! i didn’t need to see that! sheesh.
(oh, i know you didn’t force me to click the linky… but still!)

Argh; that is soooo lame. even for the 80’s.
dig that bedspread.
Who in their right mind would hook up a IIe on a bed, though? The monitor weighed a bazillion pounds, and the ‘chassis’ was long and blocky, and iirc, threw off heat like a space heater.
My ibook, however, is PERFECT for computing in bed. No CRT, no wires, no 5 1/4″ floppy drive that always sounds like it’s about to eat the disk…
John Kerry – obviously.
Just think of the hassle involved with setting the darn thing up and the risk involved of the kids knocking the IIe or the monitor off the bed… Would’ve been much easier/safer to have a computer desk on wheels and just roll it over to the bed.
Yup! Lappy is the ideal in bed computing platform.
